3 weeks of fiddle and death reverence

Immersion in ireland

ancestor work is central to embodiment, my work and my practices. over the last two years, i have extended my ancestor work to include the practices and wisdom teachings of my irish indigenous ancestors. this fall i am retuning to ireland for ancestral healing and reclaim my irish ansetors practices of magic, music and death reverence.

i am asking my constellation of care, my communities, for your support to gather $5500 for my three week immersion in ireland this fall

about my immersions in ireland

Why are you going to ireland to do this work?

i am going to ireland this fall to do ancestral work: ancestral healing and ancestral learning. i am going to fix my grandfathers violin and learn to play it as a fiddle. i am doing this as an act of healing the ancestral trauma anti-black violence caused by my great grandmother, a half second generation irish woman born in boston massachsetts. i am also attending a week long irish death reverence immersion with tonja reichley and charlene ray. this guided pilgramge/immersion will be where i will learn about the ways my irish ancestors mourn and how that mourning informs how they live. (i have recived a partial scholarship to attend this immersion.) for the remaining week i will do a solo pilgrimage to sacred sites in kildare and inis mor.

what will the immersions include?

the immersions will include: 1 week of fiddle lessons and the repair of my grandfathers violin, 1 week of a guided irish death reverence immersion/pilgrimage, 1 week of pilgrimage to sacred wells and sights.

What is the support going towards?

your support is going towards the following: the remainder of my tuition for the irish death reverence, a week of irish fiddle lessons, the repair of my grandfathers violin, my lodging and transportation.

how can i support your immersion in ireland?

support can take a few forms. one form is prayer that i have the protection, human, material and spiritual resources to be on these immersions and that all obstacles be removed for me to embark on this ancestral healing and leaning this fall.
